This is so sad and as a Harley employee scary too.
The Buell product line was intended to create a "feeder system" for HDs..

Spent the weekend with Da Pope at Octoberfest. The typical "Harley rider" is beginning to look really old...kinda' like me...

Being an avid rider and lover of all bikes, (currently own Road Glide, VTX 1800, K1200RSport) and a sales and marketing guy. I am AMAZED at Harley's decision.
I am 49 and probably at the low end of the average age of a Harley Rider. Not sure how they think they can survive without attracting a younger demo. I have a 20 year old son. He and his friends would barley consider a cruiser, HD is not even on their radar. Then Mystique/lifestyle will only go so far. We all know HD has never been an innovator of technology. Now that everyone else is getting into Harley;s target market as well has have the young demo what the hell are they going to do. This has the next GM written all over it.
