SEMA ahead

Dave and Kory will be off to SEMA Monday for the week. We shipped 3 bikes, the Vespa, and a surfboard. I am hoping that Kory will be reporting back with some pictures of the show. I am a little disapointed I couldnt' make it out to Vegas this year but we have some big things going on at home. Below is a couple of pictures of the Perewitz painted projects!

Perewitz Flathead

We recently finished a 37 Flathead. It came out really cool. Right now it is on its way to the SEMA show in Las Vegas. Kory and Dave will both be out there, hopefully reporting live! We also sent the Vespa and Tony Stewarts bike for the Dake display.
The Flathead will be back in a couple of weeks so make sure to stop by and check it out. It is also for sale!!! It could be yours!

Happy Halloween!

Thug's Scootah

A couple weeks ago Thug and Streets came up to get the scooter that Thug bought at the Fall Foliage Run. Before putting it in the trailer these experienced bikers decided to take it for a scoot! I guess there is something about scooters that everyone has to take them for a ride!
Below is also a picture of the Vespa we just finished! I will post more later on that!

I think these scooters will get a lot of miles on them!

Funny's!

An extremely modest man was in the hospital for a series of tests, the last of which had left his bodily systems extremely upset.
Upon making several false alarm trips to the bathroom, he decided the latest episode was another and stayed put. He suddenly filled his bed with diarrhea and was embarrassed beyond his ability to remain rational.
In a complete loss of composure he jumped out of bed, gathered up the bed sheets, and threw them out the hospital window.
A drunk was walking by the hospital when the sheets landed on him. He started yelling, cursing, and swinging his arms violently trying to get the unknown things off, and ended up with the soiled> sheets in a tangled pile at his feet.
As the drunk stood there, unsteady on his feet, staring down at the sheets, a hospital security guard, (barely containing his laughter), and who had watched the whole incident, walked up and asked,
"What the heck is going on here?"
The drunk, still staring down replied:
"I think I just beat the shit out of a ghost."
Happy Halloween

Harley's Virtual Build it contest

In the "Build It to and Win It" sweepstakes, contestants can customize a Harley-Davidson 2009 model and enter it to win the bike they designed. Using the Genuine Motor Accessories Customizer, anyone can choose a Harley-Davidson model and then select from hundreds of custom options, including Color Shop custom paint sets, Screamin’ Eagle performance components, hand and foot controls, custom front end parts and decorative collections, and place them on a virtual motorcycle. As the bike is created, each new component appears on a picture of the virtual motorcycle, so a customizer can see exactly what the finished custom Harley-Davidson will look like. After customizing, the bikes can then be saved in a personal profile "Garage," along with a convenient, printable list of each component with its part number and price.
A contestant can customize, save and enter up to ten 2009 models between Oct. 15 - Nov. 6 and each will be entered to win. Representatives from the company will randomly select one bike, which will be awarded to the Grand Prize winner after the Nov. 6 deadline.

More details on the contest are available here:

Thug & Streets Most Excellent Adventure Continues.....

This past weekend Thug and I travelled to Bridgewater to pick up the scooter he bid on at the Fall Foliage Run a few weeks ago. It reminded me that I hadn't completed the most recent chapter of T&SMEA. So here we go....

Friday -- We trailered both bikes to the Bridgewater shop, dropping mine off for some minor service work. We then headed for the Cape so we could unload the trailer and get checked into the Skaket Motel. Now, since we wanted to participate in the group ride from Bridgewater to Brewster, the only way to get back was to put two guys on one bike (Dumb and Dumber anyone??) Off we went with me hoping nobody would notice us. A woman on the back of a bike has it easy, but what does a guy on the back of a bike hang on to? I finally just hung on to my knees. I just hope there were no pictures of us taken that afternoon. Anybody?

Friday night at the Perewitz Cape House was a blast, with more food than anyone could possibly eat. Once again, Susan's chowdah was world class. BTW, Susan, Zizi and Lorraine were in the kitchen engaged in a prolonged giggle fit. Apparently they had a full bottle of wine and no glasses. What to do? What to do? Lorraine finally figured it out.

Saturday -- A gorgeous day for a ride on Cape Cod. From Perewitz to Chapin's to British Beer Company to Be Bop's and back, every leg of the ride was just awesome. A special shout out to Bob Belanger for once again hosting a lavish spread. I was stuffed when I left his place and still had a huge buffet to look forward to that night. A live and silent auction at the Elk's Club in Eastham (that's where Thug got his scoot) raised quite a bit of money for MS research. Once again, Hamster's and friends open their hearts and wallets whenever there's a good cause to contribute to.

Sunday -- The Poker Stroll to Provincetown was cancelled, but Thug and I decided to head up there anyway since, once again, it was a gorgeous day for a ride. Thug had heard about P'town but never been there (Mrs Streets and I have visited for years). So I thought I show him around....Just two guys in black leather and denim strollin' down Commercial Street.......We were pinched for time, so after a quick lunch at the Lobster Pot (like I needed any more to eat), it was back to Brewster to load up the bikes and head for home. Bummer! Again, thanks to the Perewitz family and friends for hosting this event. A fundraiser and bike ride on a gorgeous weekend on Cape Cod. What could be better?

Harley Model

I recently got an e-mail from Kelly at Harley Davidson. HD is going to be sending some Harley news periodicly to share on the blog. Check out the info below!

Marisa Miller, the Victoria’s Secret Angel and Sports Illustrated cover girl, recently teamed up with Harley-Davidson to shoot photos as part of an upcoming ad campaign for the new V-Rod Muscle™. The shots will be released in the coming weeks, and feature Marisa alongside the Muscle.
In the meantime, we have exclusive, behind-the scenes footage of the shoot that just went up on the Harley-Davidson YouTube channel. The video offers a glimpse into the making of the ad campaign, as well as an interview with Marisa discussing the merging of an "authentic American" girl with the "authentic American" brand. Darren Alexander Winston Memorial Charity Ride

CLINTON TOWNSHIP —Motorcycle stars led a ride Saturday, Oct. 4 to benefit a local sports legend's family.

Williams Harley-Davidson hosted top motorcycle designers and builders for an autograph signing before the first Darren Alexander Winston Memorial Charity Ride & Luncheon to raise money for the Winston Family Trust in honor of the deceased baseball star.

"It's early morning and it's just starting to rain," said Williams owner Bobby DiFazio. "No matter, it will be a big success because we're doing something good for a member of the community and his family."

The Williams showroom was loaded as usual with a large, shiny collection of the latest Harley Davidson motorcycles, but yesterday those stock bikes were joined by a spectacular array of custom bikes designed by the country's top builders, many made famous on the Discovery Channel's "Biker Build-off".

"We're hoping to raise about $15,000," DiFazio said. "We have to thank Frank Cotroneo, owner of Equus Restaurant in Bernardsville for having this luncheon, and all the Discovery Channel builders who will be leading the ride."

Billy Lane of "Choppers, Inc.," Dave Perewitz of Perewitz Cycle Fabrication in Bridgewater, Mass., Paul Cox of Indian Larry Legacy, Keino Sasaki of Keino Cycles, Bill Dodge of Bling's Cycles and sculptor Jeff Decker were scheduled to appear.

"I built Frank a bunch of bikes," said Perewitz. "He asked me to come down and I'm more than happy to help out."

Riders are paying $150 each to take part and honor the Winston name while helping out the sports star's wife and six kids.

Winston was a Woodbridge native who spent the last years of his life living in Millstone. He was a Rutgers baseball hall of famer and four-year letter winner, spending two seasons playing in the major leagues for the Philadelphia Philles and finishing his career with the Somerset Patriots. Winston also coached for Millstone Little League.

"Winston gave my son pitching lessons on an individual basis for seven years," Cotroneo said. "He always remembered to call when my son had a game to ask how it went. He was a great coach and a terrific guy."

Winston got sick this summer and was originally diagnosed as lymphoma, but within weeks had ruptured his spleen in a hospital in Freehold Township. He died on Aug. 15.

The builders and the rest of the riders were expected to finish the autograph session around 11:30 a.m. and ride through the hills of Hunterdon and Somerset counties on their way to a 3 p.m. luncheon with the Winston family at Equus Restaurant in Bernardsville for another meet and greet with fans.

SEMA Show

We are scrambling to finish a few things for the SEMA show in Las Vegas the begining of November. For the show we are building a 37 Flathead bobber, a 60's Era Vespa scooter, 2 surfboards and a partridge in a pear tree!!

The flathead is coming out wicked cool. Below are photos of the current state of the bike. It is so little and unique with it's custom rigid Paughco frame and original motor.

So if you are in the area of Las Vegas around Nov. 3 make sure to make it to the PPG booth to check out their colorful booth!

This weekend Dave will be in Bernardville, NJ for the Equus Tavern's Charity event. He will be along with Billy Lane, Bill Dodge, and Keino signing autographs at Williams HD. I will post pictures of the event next week.

Have a nice weekend!
