Fall Brawl

Fall Brawl Postponed Due to Weather***New "Race" Date is Sunday, October 19th

This past weekend was by far a wash out. It rained "cats & dogs" all weekend. It was good for the grass and plants but bad for riding. We were supposed to have the races at the Brockton fair but even if it wasn't raining Sunday the mud would have been unbearable! Especially for Joe Pro!

So the event has been postponed. New date is Oct. 19th. I hope you can make it!

Fall Foliage Weekend

We had our charity event this past weekend. We have a big dinner and a poker run. The money that was raised will go to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. We had a silent and live auction, raffle tickets, and many donations. The total number isn't in yet but I am sure we raised a good amount of money. The weather was perfect for riding too. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Thank you to all that came and made a donation. It is greatly appriciated.

Moonlight Unveiling

By: Mike Keegan
September 18th, Marshfield, Mass.
When well known artist David Brega called me in need of some motorcycles to be a part of an outdoor art unveiling in Marshfield, I knew there was only one place to go.
I emailed Jody and she got in touch with Brian Gould to see if he and his custom could put in an appearance. He said he could get a few bikes together along with two of his own and they would be there for the unveiling.
The big night arrived and after working all afternoon at a shoot with Toni-Ann, she and I drove over to Marshfield for the second half of our double header.
Dave had been kind enough to donate a
Perewitz mechanic shirt so that Toni would look her best as she represented the bikes to the crowd. Judging by all the attention she, and the bikes, received from just about every guy there, the Perewitz name was everywhere.

After a musical introduction the bikes rolled in and each of the five bikes parked in front of one of the five 14 X 16 foot murals. Brian parked in front of David's painting of a worn leather bike jacket owned by Joey Kramer of Aerosmith in front of an American flag. It was a perfect matching of two amazing pieces of art and the crowd admired both pieces equally..
It was a great night made even better by the efforts of Brian and his crew, riding down to Marshfield after a long days work to help out with this event.
Many thanks to them as well as Toni and Jody for helping to make this night such a success. Their efforts were greatly appreciated.

Misc. Info

We had our last 2008 Bike Night last night and it was great! I want to thank everyone who came last night and all summer. It was huge turnout. September can be iffy because the weather is turning cooler, it is dark by 7, kids are back to school, etc. Obviously non of those things effected Bike Night. We had definitely the best September crowd we have ever had. So Thanks again to everyone that supported us every third Wednesday. I will post some pictures next week, maybe Mike Keegan will send me some??!

In other news we are giving a facelift to an 08 FLH for a friend of Thugs, Alan. The bike is already torn apart but Dirti and I cringed because it had the anniversary paint on it, which is wicked cool, and we quicky preped it for it's new color, purple!

And lastly we have 3 puppies here from Puerto Rico. They are rescue dogs that we are "auctioning" off this weekend at our charity event. All the money will go back to the island to help save more "Sato's". Aren't they adorable!

Oh and today is Kory's birthday!!!

Last Bike Night of 08

I am sad to say that the last Bike Night of 2008 will be tomorrow night from 6-9pm. I swear it was just a few weeks ago that Zizi was saying almost time for Bike Nights again! Hopefully next summer will come quick.

Make sure that you come by tomorrow. We cleaned out the closets and have tubs of shirts to throw off the roof! We will also have music, burnouts, food, and more! Make this your last harrah for the summer. I hope to see you there!

Campaign 08

I guess I am feeling very American today. I got this e-mail and thought I would share it. I try not to post politcal things on this site because it is about motorcycles so... I will just update this particular post with campaign stuff. Check back every once in a while for new stuff if your interest if not, just continue to read our motorcycle orientated posts.

Twin T's

Today is September 11, 2008. Seven years ago tragedy struck America. I am not going to write about it because we all know this infamous day. I thought I would share my thoughts and a photo with you.

Where were you on Sept. 11, 2001 at 8 am?

I was at Umass Dartmouth, my freshman year. I was in class when the towers were first struck. I got out of class at about 9:15am and was supposed to meet my friend for breakfast. When she didn't show up I decided to go back to our dorm. I saw her walking to my room in the hall and she said "Did you hear what happened" with a panic stricken face. I will never forget that day. Classes were cancelled for the day but there was NO ONE jumping for joy. Everyone was glued to the TV or on the phone checking on loved ones.

I hope that my generation never has another day like that. It is sad how everyone remembers exactly what they were doing when tragedy strikes. I know my parents generation has Sept. 11 and the assasination of JFK. My mom can tell you exactly where she was at that time. I hope that this country has many more happy days that just fall into our memories and no more sad ones.

We will never forget, United we stand!

New Blog!

I was surfing the net looking for something and I came across this blog, http://www.iwblogger.com/ I see that it is Iron Work's Garage blog. There was some really good info on there. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in our shop that I don't know what is going on outside in the motorcycle world. I love have a good resource to catch up on the motorcycle news. I hope that you do too!

Well I read though a couple of the top stories and I noticed there was one with me in it... well a JUDY Perewitz anyway! Very cool to be blogged about but wish they had the right person!
Better Luck Next Time I Guess :-(

XX CHROMES-ALL WOMAN BIKE BUILD

The XX Chromes-All Woman Bike Build did it again…did anyone think they wouldn’t?
That wasn’t the word or enthusiasms that we got from many of the fans (had to be zillions ), listeners, TV or magazine reporters that came to the center stage of Hal’s Harley-Davidson for the CELEBRATION DESTINATION of the HARLEY-DAVIDSON 105th ANNIVERSARY, as they exclaimed: “there was never a doubt!!”

The crowds swarmed in the blazin heat of Sat Aug 30th & Sun Aug 31st as the ladies of the
XX Chromes –All Woman Bike Build: Sara Liberte, Jody Perewitz, Laura Klock & crew chief- Kim Jordan once again descended upon the stage to maneuver bits and pieces of what they knew would be one Rock-A-Billy-Rod “Wicked Awesome” Motorcycle…brought to the stage
by our good friends at Biker’s Choice !!

The Open Road Radio crew; Gina Woods, Ideal Dave & Dozer did their part by bringing LIVE
(& often crazy) entertainment to the stage with weekend giveaways from our friends at
Hal’s HD, Matco Tools, Doc Bailey’s, Throttle Threads and Sick Tea!

“A weekend of old friends, new friends & so many enthusiasts we got to meet”
exclaimed Gina Woods – “A great time had by all, for a great charity“

The motorcycle is being raffled for Ridin For A Cure cause with tixs on sale at Hal’s Harley-Davidson in early September

and given away at the beginning of the year with all proceeds benefiting Ridin For A Cure.
